The Institute for Fundamental Study (IF) is a research institute whose main missions are to provide fundamental research and academic programs in theoretical physics and related disciplines. Since its establishment, IF has pursued its founding mission and now gained scientific recognition as one of the best places for doing research in theoretical physics nationwide. However, IF must inevitably grow up and now goes after a more ambitious goal to be the institute that drives research communities of the country and the regional area, i.e. South East Asia, to the next level. Therefore, to achieve this, the support from International mathematical union would be an important catalyst to strengthen our academic activities such as exchanging knowledge, flowing in and out of people. This would benefit not only Thai students but also the regional scientific community.
High energy physics is one of the best laboratories at IF. People in the group are working heavily at the forefront of the cutting-edge research topics, including quantum field theory and physics beyond standard model: string theory. The IF aims to set up the stage for people in the field and related fields to talk and develop or collaborate joint research projects. An important thing is that this activity would be a place to bring young and enthusiastic physicists(not only in Thailand, but also neighboring countries) and senior physicists together leading to a fantastic atmosphere and wonderful academic ecosystem
Organized by :
The workshop will be from December 18-22, 2023. There will be invited talks in the morning session and registered talks in the afternoon session. And there will be also a poster session for students and young researchers.
