Brochure Ph.D Theoretical Physics
The Ph.D. program is a three-year coursework and research program in English. International students are welcome to the program. The annual tuition fee is 100,000 THB (approximately 3000 EUR). Since the compulsory course (Cosmology, Gravitation and High Energy Physics Branch) is an advanced subject, 897602 Geometrical Methods in Physics, therefore perspective students who do not have basics in Quantum Field Theory and General Relativity are strongly suggested to officially take the Higher Graduate Diploma prior to admission to the Ph.D. program.

Apart from the Ph.D. degree from Naresuan University, it is traditional at the Tah Poe Academia Institute to award an unofficial qualification, Scholar of the Tah Poe Academia Institute (S.TP.) in addition to the Ph.D. degree. The Ph.D. (Theoretical Physics) program is a three-year doctoral degree program in theoretical physics. It is the first Ph.D. program in Far East Asia to name the topic of study in the degree “Theoretical Physics,” and it is a bilingual course with English as the medium of instruction. Fees totaling 300,000 baht during the project. Students can get full scholarship support and living expenses, as well as the opportunity to travel abroad to conduct research on a scholarship.
due to the compulsory course of the doctoral program (High Energy Physics Cosmology and Gravitation) is a high-level subject in theoretical physics, namely
- Geometrical Methods in Physics
If the written test fails to pass the College’s Admissions Committee’s requirements, applicants for Ph.D. programs in high-energy physics, Cosmology, and Gravitation will be denied admission. Before beginning the doctoral program, you must be enrolled in the High. Grad. Dip. program.
Except in the case of a Master’s degree in a related field from a leading British or international university (e.g. Part III of DAMTP, M.Sc. of Sussex, Durham, Imperial, etc.) or a similar diploma, the ICTP Diploma, the Perimeter International Scholar, or the certificate of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences is required.
Graduates will receive a Ph.D. (Theoretical Physics) qualification from Naresuan University and Philosophy of The Tah Poe Academia Institute (S.TP.) according to the tradition of The Tah Poe Academia Institute.
Admission requirements
- Applicants should hold a master’s degree majoring in Physics or other related fields.
- Applicants must pass an interview for basic knowledge in physics and mathematics.
- In case the applicant wishes to study high energy physics, cosmology and gravitation but lacks a foundational physics foundation at the same level as a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics in the British system, the ICTP’s Perimeter International Scholar Program or DICTP in High Energy Physics, or DAMTP Cambridge’s Part III of Maths Tripos; applicants should be enrolled in the IF Advanced Postgraduate Programme, or before enrolling in the Ph.D. (If the first written exam meets the requirements, the student will be entitled to enroll in a PhD program.)
