📌 Title: ” Gravity of the Connections ”
📌 Speaker : Avik De, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of the Department of Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering & Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.
📌 Abstract : We will explore fundamental geometric concepts that are frequently overlooked while we immerse ourselves in advanced cosmological research. In the field of general relativity, we examine the curvature of spacetime and often ignore the presence of the affine connection as an important player of this game, as it remains concealed within the metric tensor. What would be the outcome if the affine connection were to emerge from its hide and produce a field equation of its own? This inquiry leads us to explore new theories of gravity, particularly the f(Q) theory, which has gained favor due to its non-metricity based nature. Our conversation will conclude with intriguing observations in FLRW spacetime.
