IF Colloquium No.4 – ” An Overview of 2D Materials “

📣 IF invites you to the No.4 IF Colloquium (Online Seminar Series)
📌 Title: ” An Overview of 2D Materials “
📌 Speaker: Sukrit Sucharitakul, Ph.D.
(Lecturer in Physics, Department of Physics and Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand)
📌 Abstract: With the invention of 2D exfoliation of Graphene with yielded Novoselov and Geim a Nobel Prize in Physics back in 2010, a field of 2D materials has emerged as a spotlight in the research of condensed matter Physics. Scientists have spent great efforts in exploring the fields of 2D materials and its interesting Physics with quantum-size confinement effect. Over the years, many materials with different optoelectrical properties have been unearthed in 2D platform such as MoS2, h-BN, InSe and etc. This offered a lot more to explore and discover in 2D platform. Not only the materials are interesting in terms of exotic Physics they offered, the materials also offer miniaturized platforms for FET and many other applications. In this talk, the exploration and the rise of the 2D exfoliable materials platform will be discussed.
