📌 Abstract : Classical integrable systems are traditionally characterised by a condition formulated in terms of Hamiltonian mechanics. A Lagrangian theory of integrability exists as well, known under the names “pluri-Lagrangian systems” and “Lagrangian multiforms”, but this is a much more recent development. My talk will give an introduciton to integrable systems in general, and an overview of Lagrangian multiform theory.
