Title: ” The reheating after inflation “

Abstract: In the standard model of inflation, the accelerating expansion of the early universe is driven by the inflaton field in a vacuum-like state. In this state of expansion, particles that are not in the vacuum state are rapidly diluted due to the expansion.

The number density and energy density of these particles contributing to the universe are very small. After the end of inflation, the universe enters the reheating epoch. In this epoch, the inflaton field transfers energy to elementary particles, and the number density of these particles increases. The particles are the elementary particles of the radiation-dominated epoch of the universe in the hot big bang model. The reheating epoch consists of two important periods: 1) the preheating period during which the number density of particles rapidly increases by the process of parametric resonance, and 2) the reheating period during which the transfer of energy occurs between the inflaton and the elementary particles according to the perturbation theory in field theory.
